Senior Economic Intelligence and Policy Analyst

Circa £30,000-£35,000p.a. dependent upon experience

Black Country Consortium Ltd (BCC) is an organisation of regeneration, investment and property professionals whose remit is to enable and commission holistic regeneration across the Black Country, from development to tourism, sport and skills. BCC works closely with its public, private and third sector partners, marshalling the energies and enthusiasm that promote and deliver meaningful joint sub-regional working, for the growth and enrichment of the Black Country as a whole.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Intelligence Analyst to join our Economic Intelligence Unit to play a leading role working with local authority partners and the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership with primary responsibility for managing economic impact modelling. It is an analytical based role requiring a comprehensive understanding of economic indicators and regeneration activities (GVA, Employment and Population understanding would be an advantage).

The post holder must be ideally qualified to degree level and be able to demonstrate proven experience of mining large data sets to identify trends, along with writing reports for Boards and Senior Management teams to summarise and contextualise large amounts of information. Previous experience of working in an economic modelling role is desirable.

Key skills include:-

· an ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders,

· excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain complex technical terms to a non-technical audience

· proficiency in excel and Microsoft packages

· a strong ability to structure and organise workloads
